Great Way To Wrap Up the Weekend!

With a yummy grilled feast, grilled by the World's Best Griller!
We had to take advantage of a somewhat 'dry' day and do some grilling. Saturday was a Rain Out (so much for our good ole weathermen's forecast....).
Don't you wish we had smell-a-screen? We had to break out the World's Best BBQ'er platter Mom K got us for Christmas for this 'First Warm Day Grilling' Event.
We hope you had a great weekend. We sure are curious to see what happens this season with the good ole Detroit Lions. Hmmmmm......

Another Sure Sign....

When the Sun Tea container makes it out of the storage and onto the deck.....
Funny how good Sun Tea tastes after a long winter!
Leaves on trees COMING SOON! :o)
Pull up a glass and enjoy!
Happy Sunday!

And this is a SURE sign that it's arrived!!! Aside from the 75* yesterday and the 80*+ we saw today, this photo confirms that Spring is FINALLY HERE!!!
Our Daffodils and Tulips in the front yard are starting to bloom!
What is it about Spring Flowers make you smile?!
We hope that you're having a wonderful weekend enjoying the NFL Draft and the fabulous weather.

Big City Griller!

Happy Weekend! Here's hoping you had a great one!! The weather was wonderful yesterday! WOW! How lucky were we to enjoy 73*+ and sushine for the day?? The patio furniture has made it out onto the deck as well as the umbrella. The umbrella solar lights were used last night as well. We had some friends over last night for dinner - Steak & Chicken 'Kabobs. YUMM-O - WOW! In our travels to the grocery store yesterday, we found a tasty marinade that was perfect on these. We wrapped it all up with some angel food cake and fresh strawberries. I think we all enjoyed the food coma!
So, tonight, our newest 'As Seen on TV' member to the family got broken in. Yes Sir, Mr. Billy Maze SOLD us on the Big City Slider maker! How yummy do these little fella's look? You bet they were yummy!! Too bad we don't have blog-smell-a-taste-a vision, huh? These guys had a little lettuce, onion and homemade 'Big Mac' Sauce.
And we have full bellies! Two Thumbs Up!!
Happy Day!

A Monday Grin For Ya!

Happy Monday after Easter! Not sure about you, but I think we sure could have used an extra day this weekend! WHEW! We had such a great time with our family yesterday. Easter dinner as always was fabulous. God Bless Glen's mom for fixin' us a great 'tovers plate. So, guess what we're having tonight for dinner - no muss no fuss. WOO HOO!
I have to say, we had a delightful time watching Claire, Evan, Ava and little Johnny looking for their Easter eggs. Johnny who will be 2 on the 18th, was so excited, namely about the plastic eggs and plastic carrots Glen's mom had hung on the tree in the front yard. It was a lovely Easter. We hope you had a lovely Easter with your family and friends.
So, the grin for you today - I'm sure we've mentioned our 'kids' LOVE Ruffles Potato Chips. So, tonight, Glen was going to get a little crunchy with they chipies (Colin loves to share Ruffles with Uncle Glen too). Anyway, here are our two beggers.

They love their Ruffles! We hope you had a nice Easter and a relatively chaos free day today!

The Easter Eggs have been colored.....

and are Works of Art, wouldn't you agree? (well, except for the one ugly one, but then there's gt to be an ugly one in every bunch, right?)
Tomorrow, we celebrate the Blessings our Savior has given us and the sacrifices he made. We will celebrate our blessings today with our families and friends. Glen's mom loves to do Easter Dinner and we always look forward to it (she makes the best Easter meal - yummy kielbasa and gunski's as we call them aka stuffed cabbage!!). My folks will also join us at Glen's mom & dad's along with his 2 cousins and their children, his aunt & uncle and Glen's bro Rick. There's just something about a holiday that always makes me feel blessed.
Do you remember as a kid getting up on Easter Sunday and hunting those wonderfully colored Works of Art? When I was growing up, we always hunted the REAL eggs. And because we lived in Michigan, it was always too cold to do the Easter Egg hunt outside (and usually snowy), so the eggs were hidden in the house. Usually in the living room. And, no matter how hard we looked and what clever placed we looked in, there was ALWAYS that 1 egg that no one could find - including the dogs. Well, that is until it started to smell a week or so later. We always laughed when we found the 'lone' egg and my dad always used to say, "So THAT'S where that egg was hidden". He was the Easter Bunny's helper at our house.
Wishing you Easter Blessings!

What the SNOW?!

Isn't it supposed to be Spring? That's what the calendar says, but I guess Momma Nature was a bit confused about the 'WHITE-OUT' to support the Spartans tonight vs. the WHITE-OUT heavy, wet, snow. This was what we woke up to this morning.....
Actually we woke up at 4:05 this morning to a transformer blowing up, nothing like having to try & figure out what time it is in the middle of the night......the clock in the spare room that runs on batteries was on the old day light saving schedule so it read 5:05, when it was actually 4:05. Guess we'll have to reset that tonight to avoid confusion in the instance that this happens again anytime soon. Welcome to Monday!
On a high note, we're looking forward to watching the MSU Spartans play their way to victory tonight.
Hope you're having a snow free Monday.....
